ANTONIO ROSALES

Brings home top honor from the 2000 OCA Country Music Award show, October 20^th, held at the RIVERSIDE Resort & Casino - Laughlin, NV.
 

Dreamscape Records country-recording artist, Antonio Rosales returns to Oklahoma the recipient of the Country Male Vocalist of the Year! Also awarded the duet of the year with Sylvia Winters for their duet; "What You Think Is Fair". 

Antonio released his first CD, Time's Running Out, in 1998 and is still has been honored with two No. 1 hits and the Country single of the year for the song, "Millie Make some Chili". Antonio also holds the award of Male Rising Star awarded him during the Golden Music Awards held earlier this year in Nashville. 

After the release of the CD, Antonio also toured in Europe last spring and is scheduled to return for the summer festival tour in June of next year. The response to his music overseas is overwhelming. The radio stations play music by different criteria there, spinning the songs the people want to hear and that merit play. The US market is so dominated by the major labels that it is difficult for any artist not on the top few labels to get much airtime, however there are many stations that do play his music. He has consistently stayed on the chart having now five songs in the top five from the CD, two of which have gone to number 1. The European charts have kept him in the lineup for over a year and the Worldwide Report which is a combination of major and minor labels has ranked him as high as # 2 most played artist.

Antonio is also working on his next recording project hoping to release his second CD in early 2001.

Antonio, a Yukon resident is also lending his hand and talent to the startup of a new Country Music Opry. The Golden Music Opry which is in affiliation with Bob Woods Music and Billy Teal of Nashville has opened its doors to the public. Every Saturday night they host local talent on stage.
